Arabic has about 295 million native speakers. It is a 1,500-year-old Semitic language and is related to Hebrew and Aramaic. Arabic is the official language of all Arab and some other African countries. It uses the Arabic alphabet for writing, which consists of 28 basic letters written from the right to the left. Therefore, the Arabic alphabet is one of the main topics to which our lecturers pay the most attention in the Beginners’ course of the Arabic language.
